Role Overview

As a Software Engineer Intern, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of our AI-driven legal tech platform. Depending on your interests and skillset, you may focus on full-stack development or machine learning tasks. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with innovative technologies in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to design and implement functionalities that enhance user experience and platform efficiency.
• Contribute to the development of features across the full technology stack or AI/ML pipelines, depending on your focus area.
• Assist in creating responsive and secure UI components using modern web technologies (for full-stack focus).
• Support the development, optimization, and maintenance of APIs, services, and backend systems (for full-stack focus).
• Assist in implementing and testing AI algorithms, particularly in NLP (Natural Language Processing) and Large Language Models (LLMs) (for machine learning focus).
• Support the development of machine learning pipelines for enhanced performance and scalability (for machine learning focus).
• Conduct testing and validation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of features or models.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while adhering to best practices in software development and security.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree (undergraduate or graduate) in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field.
• Familiarity with modern frontend technologies like React or Next.js and backend development using Python (for full-stack focus).
• Familiarity with machine learning and NLP concepts and tools, with experience in LLMs being a plus (for machine learning focus).
• Understanding of software development principles, including version control systems like Git.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in database systems, both relational (e.g., MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB or Redis) (for full-stack focus).
• Experience in prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) or search/retrieval technologies (for machine learning focus).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
